What is the MOQ for fresh Asian pear, and can we start with a trial order?
Our standard MOQ is one 40ft reefer container, roughly 24-26 MT, or about 2,400-2,600 cartons of 10 kg. For a first shipment we can look at LCL consolidation or air-freighted samples — tell us your target volume when you enquire.
How long from order to shipment, and when is new crop available?
Once the order is confirmed, sourcing, grading, packing and loading take just 3-7 days. New harvest starts with July Red in July, Crown from mid-to-late August, then Ya, Akizuki and Red Xiangsu in September and Korla late September. We work with the same orchards and cold stores year after year, so main varieties are in stock and ready — which is why our lead time sits well below the market average. In peak season, book shipping space early.
Which export documents do you provide?
Typically the phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and any inspection report your country requires. We confirm the exact list against your market's import rules.
Can you pack under our own brand?
Yes. We support OEM and private label: printed cartons, labels, shipping marks and foam-net colour can all be customised from your artwork. Allow an extra 7-10 days for custom packaging.
What payment terms do you accept?
Most commonly 30% T/T deposit with 70% against a copy of the bill of lading. We also accept an irrevocable L/C at sight. Credit terms for long-standing customers can be discussed.
How long do the pears keep after arrival?
Held continuously at 0-2°C and 90-95% RH, Ya and Crown pears keep for several months. Real shelf life depends on variety, harvest maturity and whether the chain was broken after arrival. We supply recommended storage parameters with every shipment.
How do I get a fresh pear FOB price quickly, and what does the quote cover?
We quote FOB Qingdao by default, and CIF or CFR to your port on request. To price accurately we need: variety, calibre, carton (10 kg or 15 kg), quantity, destination port and target shipment date. With that in hand we normally reply within 24 hours.
Do you supply supermarket chains and fruit wholesalers directly?
Yes: importers, wholesale distributors, fruit wholesale markets and supermarket buyers are all served direct from our own packing plants, with no trading middleman in between. Supermarket programmes usually take tighter calibre bands, private-label cartons and fixed weekly sailings; wholesalers usually prefer mixed calibres and longer-storing varieties. Tell us which channel you sell into and we build the packing and the schedule around it.
